As one of Edinburgh’s leading department stores, Debenhams is celebrating the return of a classic British brand with the launch of its first exclusive Principles by Ben de Lisi collection. Formerly one of Britain’s best loved brands Principle’s return to the high street is hugely enhanced by having designer Ben de Lisi at the creative helm, who comments “the quality and style of each garment is fantastic - I think women will love it.”
The new range has been eagerly anticipated by customers all over the UK, with staff at the Princes Street store continually inundated with enquiries about the return of the brand. With a promise from the designer to move the collection back to what it’s celebrated for - timeless, modern collections that have fashionability, with designer twist, it also promises to be affordable.
The capsule launch range features over a hundred weekend, day, occasion and eveningwear items, alongside a hefty number of petite pieces. Fashionistas will also love the handbags and accessories, all with Ben’s unique style handwriting.
Store Manager Phil Docherty commented: “The Principles brand was famous for its great value, classic fashion looks and there has definitely been a gap on the High Street since it disappeared. When we announced we were re-launching it with Ben de Lisi, we received hundreds of requests from discerning women keen to get their hands on the details. Now it’s finally here and there’s a real sense of intrigue and anticipation – we’re expecting it to be a huge sell out.”
The new collection is housed in a dedicated ‘Principles by Ben de Lisi’ shop in shop and will be followed by designs for A/W 2010. The range is also available to order online at www.debenhams.com
