It's easy to make your way into Edinburgh city centre by bus or car.
Lothian Buses
Buses are fast and frequent. On some streets leading to the City
Centre there's a bus at least every 4 or 5 minutes at certain times,
so you won't have to wait long.
Fares are simple:
Single tickets - Adult £1.20, Child 70p - one journey
Day Tickets - Adult £3, Child £2.40 - all day travel on any of our
local Lothian Buses services - take just 3 journeys and you're saving
money!
Edinburgh's popular Park & Ride sites are an ideal place to leave the
car, with regular departures from Ingliston, Hermiston, Straiton and
Sheriffhall Park & Ride sites to the City Centre.

Edinburgh city centre has over 10,000 parking spaces, on-street and off, all within easy walking distance of shops and other popular attractions.

What about on-street parking?
Metered parking is available in George Street and around Newtown, including parts of Queen Street, Herriot Row and Abercromby Place. It is also available in the West End, such as Melville, Stafford, and Alva Streets plus Rutland and Charlotte Square. Park for up to three hours on-street in the city centre at a cost of £2.00 an hour.
